Contemplating Taking ACHR Profits of Almost 300%

We are considering taking our profits of almost 300%.  We own the Jan 2027 $3.00 calls at around $1.50.  We don't see this as being a Rocket Lab (RKLB) given there isn't much in the way of substantial revenue generating stuff at the moment.  This is a hard decision given we have over a year before expiration and know there is potential.  Looking at tax implications and the possibility of a reversal this month.

Here is some of the thesis on why the recent rise.

Why is ACHR on the Rise?

Archer Aviation, a prominent player in the electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft industry, has seen a significant surge in its stock price recently. Several factors have contributed to this bullish momentum:

1. Short Covering:

  • High Short Interest: ACHR has been a popular target for short sellers, who bet on the stock price declining.
  • Short Squeeze Potential: As the stock price rises, short sellers may be forced to cover their positions by buying shares, further driving the price up in a short squeeze.

2. Positive News and Developments:

  • Regulatory Approvals: Positive developments in regulatory approvals for eVTOL aircraft can boost investor confidence.
  • Partnerships and Collaborations: Strategic partnerships with major companies can provide resources, technology, and market access.
  • Product Milestones: Significant milestones in product development, such as successful test flights or manufacturing advancements, can fuel positive sentiment.

3. Retail Investor Interest:

  • Social Media Influence: Social media platforms have become powerful tools for retail investors to discuss and promote stocks.
  • Meme Stock Phenomenon: The recent surge in popularity of meme stocks has led to increased retail investor interest in speculative stocks like ACHR.

4. Fear of Missing Out (FOMO):

  • Rapid Price Appreciation: As the stock price rises rapidly, investors may fear missing out on potential gains and rush to buy shares.

Cautious Optimism

While ACHR has shown significant potential, it's important to approach the stock with a cautious and disciplined investment strategy. The eVTOL industry is still in its early stages, and there are significant challenges to overcome, such as regulatory hurdles, technological advancements, and market adoption.

Investors should conduct thorough research and consider consulting with a financial advisor before making any investment decisions.1 It's crucial to assess the company's financial health, its long-term growth prospects, and the overall market conditions.

By understanding the factors driving ACHR's recent performance and maintaining a balanced perspective, investors can make informed decisions and potentially capitalize on the opportunities presented by this innovative company.

Something New on the Horizon in eVTOL Transportation, HOVR.

New Horizon Aircraft (HOVR): A Rising Star in the eVTOL Space

What is New Horizon Aircraft?

New Horizon Aircraft, trading under the ticker symbol HOVR, is an innovative aerospace company focused on developing a new generation of hybrid-electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft. Their flagship aircraft, the Cavorite X7, is designed to revolutionize regional air mobility by combining the efficiency of traditional aircraft with the flexibility of vertical takeoff and landing.

Key Features of the Cavorite X7:

  • Hybrid-Electric Power: The Cavorite X7 leverages a hybrid-electric propulsion system, offering a balance of power and efficiency.
  • Winged Design: Unlike many other eVTOL concepts, the Cavorite X7 incorporates wings for efficient cruise flight, significantly extending its range and reducing operating costs.
  • Vertical Takeoff and Landing: The aircraft's advanced propulsion system enables it to take off and land vertically, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.

Financial Overview and Future Plans:

As a relatively young company, New Horizon Aircraft is primarily focused on research and development. While it doesn't generate significant revenue yet, the company has secured funding through various channels, including private investments and public offerings.

Future plans for HOVR include:

  • Completing the Development of the Cavorite X7: The company is actively working on finalizing the design and conducting rigorous testing of the aircraft.
  • Securing Certification: Obtaining necessary certifications from aviation authorities is a crucial step towards commercial operations.
  • Establishing Manufacturing Facilities: The company aims to establish efficient manufacturing facilities to produce the Cavorite X7 at scale.
  • Building Partnerships: Collaborating with airlines, airports, and other industry players will be essential for the successful deployment of the aircraft.

Comparison to Archer and Joby Aviation:

  • Archer Aviation: Archer is another prominent player in the eVTOL space, known for its focus on urban air mobility. Its aircraft design is primarily geared towards shorter-range flights within cities.
  • Joby Aviation: Joby Aviation is a well-established company with a strong track record in aerospace technology. Their eVTOL aircraft is designed for both urban and regional air mobility.

While all three companies share the vision of revolutionizing air travel, New Horizon Aircraft's unique approach, combining the efficiency of traditional aircraft with the flexibility of eVTOL technology, sets it apart from its competitors.
