Four Watchlist Names Report Before Rocket Lab Does, With VIX Back Above 21

November 3, 2026

Bottom Line Up Front

Per the companies' own investor pages, Redwire (NYSE: RDW) reports Wednesday, November 4 after the close, NuScale (NYSE: SMR) holds its call Thursday, November 5 at 5:00 p.m. ET, and Oklo (NYSE: OKLO) and TeraWulf (Nasdaq: WULF) report Friday, November 6. Rocket Lab (Nasdaq: RKLB) follows Monday, November 9 and Intuitive Machines (Nasdaq: LUNR) Thursday, November 12. The Cboe VIX page showed 21.67, up 2.46 percent, against a previous close of 21.15 in a snapshot labeled 12:10 PM on 11/3/2026. Monday's pre-market scan read 18.89 off the same page. The calendar is clean. The volatility backdrop moved against it.

The Calendar

Every date below comes from the issuer's own investor page or press release, read this morning. Two caveats. Nebius's date announcement (October 30) was seen as a headline only. AST SpaceMobile's page showed no date.

Date Issuer Timing (issuer-stated)
Wed Nov 4 RDW Results after close. Call Nov 5, 9:00 a.m. ET
Thu Nov 5 SMR Call 5:00 p.m. ET
Fri Nov 6 OKLO Results before open. Call 8:30 a.m. ET
Fri Nov 6 WULF Call 8:00 a.m. EST (IR calendar)
Mon Nov 9 RKLB Results after close. Call 5:00 p.m. ET
Thu Nov 12 LUNR Results before open. Call 8:30 a.m. ET

Source: company investor pages and press releases (RDW Oct 29, OKLO Oct 23, SMR Oct 6, WULF Oct 12, RKLB Oct 20, LUNR Oct 29, 2026), read November 3, 2026.

The Volatility Reading

Cboe's page showed 21.67 spot, 21.15 previous close, 21.66 open, and a 52-week range of 13.38 to 35.30, labeled "Data as of 12:10 PM 11/3/2026" with no time zone. This run started at 12:10 UTC, which is before the U.S. open, so the label does not reconcile with a live session print. Treat the number as a snapshot, not a quote. Friday's close was 19.42 and Monday's early read was 18.89, so the previous close of 21.15 implies Monday finished sharply higher. What drove it is not verified. Pull the live VIX and your own chain before pricing anything into these prints.

Earnings week with VIX climbing is a small boat leaving harbor as the barometer drops. The trip can still pay. You just stop pretending the water is flat.

What Is Not Known

Rocket Lab's newsroom shows its 99th Electron launch, dated November 2, 2026, plus the November 9 results date. No EDGAR filing dated November 2 or 3 turned up for the issuers I could read. That coverage is partial: several feeds truncated and eleven tickers could not be reached. No option chains were pulled. Implied moves for these prints are not in this post because I have no live chain to cite.

The Bull Case

  • Dated catalysts cluster. Five reports in six sessions give the group a reason to move together or apart on real numbers, not drift.
  • Operating news is flowing. Rocket Lab's 99th Electron mission (November 2) and NuScale's manufacturing agreement with Doosan Enerbility (October 29) are issuer-confirmed execution.
  • Rising VIX can reprice cheaply for sellers of premium. Higher implied volatility ahead of known events pays more to those who define their risk, if the live chain agrees.

The Bear Case

  • Clustered catalysts cut both ways. One bad print from a sector bellwether can drag the rest before their own reports land.
  • Volatility is moving the wrong way. A VIX near 21 after a close near 19 says the tape is less forgiving than it was Friday.
  • The setup is unpriced here. No live chain, no implied move, no consensus figures sourced. A calendar is not an edge.

The SharkWater Take

I am not taking a side today. The dates are verified and the setup is not. Without a live chain and sourced guidance, any call on these prints would be invented, and I do not publish invented. The useful move is to mark the calendar, read the Redwire release first since it opens the week, and watch whether VIX holds above 21 before the first call. If it does, the whole group trades the macro tape before it trades its own numbers.

Tight lines, SharkWater
